Home Assistant for Health Care

Home automation, built for care.

A purpose-built home-automation hub for assisted living: resident call buttons, live call queue, environmental monitoring and automatic care documentation, running on-site and working when the internet does not.

The problem

Why it matters

Home automation has transformed how people live: motion sensors, smart buttons, temperature monitors and door sensors are now inexpensive, reliable and abundant. Assisted living has mostly been left out of that wave, not because the devices do not fit, but because the core that coordinates them is hard to build and harder to harden for a building full of residents who depend on it.

We deliver that core ready to run, and put you inside a mature ecosystem where expanding is a choice, not a technical project.

What you get

Features

One-press call buttons

A single press means help, every time, with a live call queue on an on-site display.

Runs through outages

Battery backup and fully local operation. The path from press to display never touches the cloud.

Environmental monitoring

Refrigerator and freezer temperature logging, door sensors and motion sensors, with the daily logs inspectors ask for.

Automatic care documentation

Tap-in and tap-out NFC workflows capture who did what, where and when, with no forms and no app to open.

Family and management portal

Family members book visits and appointments online; managers queue one-time or recurring staff reminders.

Microsoft Teams integration

Optional call notifications and activity summaries delivered to the Teams your staff already use.

Choose your starting point

Three tiers. Grow without waste.

Tiers are additive: moving up never means starting over. Try the system at minimal expense with Tier 1, and if it is earning its place, moving up is simply a matter of us sending the additional equipment. Everything you already have carries forward.

Tier1

Basic Call System

The core of a resident-call system, built to keep working when everything else fails.

  • One-press call buttons: a single press means help, every time
  • A live call queue on an on-site display
  • A single, centrally located wireless receiver
  • Optional call notifications to Microsoft Teams
  • Runs through power and internet outages with battery backup and fully local operation

Best fit: Small, single-story facilities where one centrally located receiver gives enough coverage. No connectivity assessment needed.

Tier2

Enhanced Call & Environmental Monitoring

Everything in Basic, plus broader coverage, environmental monitoring and management reporting.

  • Stronger power-failure resilience: one battery backup protects the receivers, network switch and access point together
  • Multiple wireless receivers for larger or multi-wing facilities
  • Refrigerator and freezer temperature logging, door sensors and motion sensors, with daily logs for inspections
  • Management reporting: call history, response patterns, counts and trends over time

Best fit: Larger or multi-wing buildings that want compliance records and visibility. Starts with a remote Enhanced System Readiness Review of your internet, WiFi and access points, with no site visit.

Tier3

Caregiver Operations & Automated Care Documentation

Everything in Enhanced, plus the shift from a call system into a care-operations system.

  • Tap-in and tap-out at resident rooms with NFC badges or wristbands: no forms, no app to open
  • Two-second service logging: toileted, transferred, showered, meds given and more
  • Clock-in and clock-out for staff in the same tap-based workflow
  • Activity summaries in Microsoft Teams: who visited whom, when and what was done
  • Visit reminders and motion-based wellness checks that watch for the absence of care
  • Family scheduling and management reminders through a secure web portal

Best fit: Facilities that want care documentation captured automatically, and to catch problems no one thought to call about.

Service after the sale

Whichever tier you start with, these come with it.

You own your data, not the cloud

The path from a button press to your staff display runs entirely on-site. Records, call history and care logs live on your equipment, under your control. Off-site mirroring is optional, never a dependency.

A Remote Home Automation IT department, on call

We diagnose, update and support your system remotely, and only when you switch access on with a simple dashboard toggle.

Reliability by design

Updates roll out in controlled stages with automatic health checks and rollback, so an update never leaves you with a system that will not work when it is needed.

Open and extensible: no lock-in

Built on the mature home-automation world rather than proprietary hardware. The system works out of the box, and you can extend it with a vast catalog of compatible devices.

Good fit for

Who it's for

  • Assisted living and residential care facilities
  • Small single-story homes up to multi-wing buildings
  • Teams with no dedicated IT staff
